How to Deal with the Sudden Flameout of Gas-fired or Oil-fired Boiler?

When the gas-fired or oil-fired boiler breaks down, it should be judged whether it is real flameout. Generally, if the gas-fired or oil-fired boiler encounters sudden flameout, the negative pressure indicator of furnace will suddenly increase. At that time, the furnace will become black without flame, which can be seen from the fire hole.

If the gas-fired or oil-fired boiler flameout is due to failure, the combustion sound inside the furnace will disappear. At the same time, the flame monitor will send the signal of fire extinction. There are also phenomena that the temperature and pressure will significantly drop and the water level in the drum will first drop and then rise.

There are many reasons for the flameout of gas-fired or oil-fired boiler. If the boiler flameout is caused by the failure of auxiliary engine, the boiler will send the alarm signal. If it is caused by the interruption of fuel supply, the pressure of gas-fired or oil-fired boiler will drop to zero.

When the gas-fired or oil-fired boiler is in operation, if only one burner shuts down, the flame in the furnace will deflect and the air pressure of flameout burner will change. If it is the interruption of fuel supply, the pressure of flameout burner will drop to zero and that of other burner will increase.

Once the flameout of gas-fired or oil-fired boiler is confirmed, the boiler should be shut down for inspection and maintenance in time according to the operating regulations. Only after the inspection and test are completed, the boiler can continue to be used.
